Shizukuishi Prince Hotel
In 2025, Shizukuishi Prince Hotel and Shizukuishi Ski Resort both marked anniversary milestones. A variety of events are once again planned for the 2026–2027 season, offering new ways to enjoy après-ski. Located in the premises of the hotel, Austria House is a log cabin built for the Austrian team during the 1993 World Ski Championships using timber from Austria and traditional construction techniques that require no nails or screws. Donated to the hotel after the championships, it is now used for parties and events. On selected dates this winter, it will be transformed into the “Night Lodge Bar,” where guests can enjoy wine cocktails and whisky amid the warm glow of its lights.
Naeba Prince Hotel
Surrounded by majestic mountains, Naeba in Niigata Prefecture is one of Japan’s premier winter resorts, accessible from Tokyo in approximately two hours. At its heart is Naeba Prince Hotel, a large-scale resort hotel comprising four accommodation buildings with more than 1,200 guest rooms that has welcomed skiers from around the world. The expansive Mt. Naeba / Naeba Ski Resort stretches out directly in front of the hotel, offering a comfortable snow vacation where accommodation and activities come together seamlessly. This winter, the guest rooms in Building No. 4 will be renovated and transformed into more comfortable and stylish spaces.
Kawana Hotel
Perched on a hill overlooking the sea in Kawana, Izu, Kawana Hotel is one of Japan’s most iconic classic resorts, having opened in 1936. Founder Kishichiro Okura, who studied in the UK for many years and was known as “the Baron,” designed the hotel after the castles of England. The eagle emblem above the large fireplace in the main lobby, symmetrically placed Italian marble columns, grand chandeliers, and various custom-designed lighting fixtures—all quietly reflect Okura’s passion and dedication. By the 1950s, it was even said among the upper class and influential figures of the day that spending the New Year holidays at Kawana was the ultimate status symbol. Conceived on a grand scale to create a world far removed from everyday reality, this tranquil retreat continues to offer a special experience today as it celebrates its 90th anniversary.
Hakone Yunohana Prince Hotel
Hakone Yunohana Prince Hotel stands at an elevation of 935 meters, the highest location among Hakone’s renowned hot springs. Set on a tranquil highland surrounded by magnificent nature, this hot spring hotel offers a sense of comfort as though you were above the clouds. Guests can choose between the serenity of traditional Japanese-style rooms and the comfort of Japanese-Western rooms with beds -- enjoy a leisure stay imbued with the warmth and hospitality of a traditional Japanese inn.
The Prince Kyoto Takaragaike
Just 20 minutes by subway from Kyoto Station, The Prince Kyoto Takaragaike is nestled amid the abundant nature of the Rakuhoku area and is renowned as a masterpiece designed in the later years of Togo Murano, one of the great masters of Japanese architecture. In 2026, as the hotel celebrates its 40th anniversary, it launched a new initiative centered on the themes of the “circle,” a defining motif of Togo Murano’s architecture, and the concept of “circulation” embodied in the SDGs.
