In light of recent reports both domestically and internationally of incidents involving smoke or fire caused by portable battery chargers, we kindly request your cooperation in observing the following safety guidelines for the comfort and well-being of all our guests.
Safety Guidelines in Your Guest Room
To prevent potential accidents, please adhere to these precautions when using or charging portable battery chargers:
Do not charge portable battery chargers or electronic devices when you are away from your room.
When charging the device (either charging a device from the portable charger, or charging the portable charger itself), please avoid placing it in the following locations due to increased risk of overheating or fire:
On or near flammable materials such as beds, sheets, or curtains.
Near windows or in direct sunlight.
Crucially, charging must be done in a location where you can personally monitor the device at all times.
Note from Management
If our housekeeping staff observe a portable battery charger being used under any unsafe conditions mentioned above, charging may be stopped or the device may be moved to a safe location to ensure the safety of all guests and property.
